Size: 15,400 SF
Budget: $4,571,000
Completion: August 2024

This project involves a comprehensive interior renovation of the main Tacoma Library building with the dual purpose of centralizing library services on level 1 and creating modern tenant spaces on level 2. The scope encompasses the design and implementation of new toilet facilities, offices, meeting rooms, and break areas. Notable features include the installation of state-of-the-art LED lighting and controls, as well as the incorporation of new electrical and data locations. The HVAC system will undergo strategic modifications, including the addition of a new rooftop unit, and selected exterior areas of the building will be transformed for improved functionality and aesthetics.

The interior renovations within the Carnegie building are limited to levels 1 and 2, with a focus on enhancing finishes. This includes modifications to existing ceiling finishes, as well as the introduction of new carpet and paint throughout these levels. Additionally, targeted bathroom renovations will be carried out to ensure a cohesive and upgraded environment on both levels.
