The Center for Vocational and Transitional Studies at Lower Columbia College is a new 51,400 SF, three-story steel-frame facility designed to house welding, fabrication, and machining programs, along with transitional studies, workforce/CEO, and information technology programs. The project is located on the east side of campus along 15th Avenue, replacing the existing Lot C parking area.
Initial work began October 2025 and includes demolition of Lot C and relocation of the campus water line. Construction of the new building will begin February 2026. Once the new building is complete, existing buildings to the west will be demolished and replaced with a new parking lot of similar size.
