Arlington Elementary was replaced with a new building and opened in September 2017. The school holds 450 students, pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade. The new school is part of the 2013 Capital Projects Bond passed by Tacoma voters. The library also serves as the school’s commons area and community space. Courtyards are adjacent to the classrooms and the playground incorporates students’ favorite grassy hill into its play area.
